Allison Diaz - Further Development

Further Development

As you can see below I have created various different other forms of my development from Allison Diaz as I have played around with the Gradient of the image, I have also included the original image of the building with it. I have experimented a lot to see the various different methods I could use multiplicity. I have also used prints that I created within the start of my project.

Allison Diaz - Development

Allison Diaz

With my Allison Diaz work I first started off by doing a print of a building within Nottingham which was actually a Brazilian Restaurant. This building struck me as soon as I seen it as I walked round the corner and it jsut amazed me. I wanted this feeling to come across within my drawing and also the work that I made from it. From this image I then took a photograph on it on a mobile phone and put it within an app where I was able to edit it like Allison Diaz's work. As you can see below I then transformed it into creative pieces, experimenting with various different colour schemes.

Segment

This is one of my favorite pieces above as you can see it shows the various different pieces of my drawing within it but it also has loads of different colours and shapes. A lot of going and it is very exciting which is just like the building as there was a lot going on the building as it amazed me when I first saw it. This links to my project as I am using multiple imagery as I am using various different parts of the image that I drew and transformed it into one piece. I also inserted lots of shapes which add something extra to the image. As you can see below I have created all different forms of this image, different shapes, colours and sizes etc. As I used similar effects to Allison Diaz.

Allison Diaz - Visual Research

Allison Diaz

Allison Diaz is a collage artist that work mainly focuses on shifting perspectives, identity and perception of reality. It explores how we reality and physical identity. She was a graduate of California State University, Sacramention where she studied photography, psychology, art and biology. She then went on to complete a degree in Spanish Literature.

Couple

As we can see within this picture it is a man and a woman which I presume it is Man and Wife. As with Allison's work being about physical identity etc. I believe that this piece of work would be how we change ourselves for other people as we will change the way we dress, look and act just to impress someone. As physical identity is really important with relationships. I think that it is muddled up because the person isn't the same as the person that they once were. This links to my project as it is another method which I could use for multiple imagery as she has taken fragments from each point of the face and muddled them up which I believe I would be able to then use this on the images on buildings that I have as there is various methods I could do as I could do it on a computer or I know that there is apps on a phone that I would be able to use.

Bald Man

Within this piece as you can see it is a man who has his faced muddled up within a Pentagon. I believe that this piece is all about the perception of reality. As with it being a bald man this shows that he has ages so he has then became wiser, therefore making him able to see reality more clear than someone who is younger. I really like this piece and I like the way that the multiple images are used, as this is what links with my project. The method and style is what I would use as I am doing mine on buildings as it is something that I have plenty of photos of. As you can see below also there is other pieces by Allison Diaz as I really like her work and the way she portrays physical identity etc.
